Have a go day!

Last Friday we had have a go day but it was only for the year 2 and 3. It was lots of fun because there was lots of different sports like soccer, riper rugby, soft ball, cricket and gymnastics. The first one we did was soccer I really liked soccer because I play it so it wasn't  to hard for me. After that we did riper rugby I didn't really know how to play because. I didn't know the rules so it was a bit hard but I had fun. When that was over we did gymnastics I really liked this one mostly because it has a very long trampling that was really bouncy.   The only this was that it was very tiring after all of that I could not feel my legs. After that it was time to go to soft ball the bat was a bit heavy because it had to hit the ball really far. When that was finished we had prize giving someone in our group got a prize it was a t-shirt after that we walked back to school. When we got back to school we relaxed. See you next time Bye!

Captain Hardcastle

yesterday we had Andy come in to our class and she got us to write a story and this is my story.

The master I fared the most was  Captain Hard castle and he played football and he was slim as cardboard.
His legs were hard and as thin as ram legs his legs were the colour of mutin fat.
The colour of his hair was dark vermilion like blood. Captain Hard castle's mustach was the same colour  as his hair.
His mustach was so perfectly curled that it would need a hard tooth brush to curl it up. His mustach went down over his mouth and it nearly went up to his ear.

W.A.L.T collaborateing

Today in room 8 our cyber smart teacher Gerhard came to our class and we learnt how to collaborate using google apps. We had  to do four activity's and this is what it looked like this:




When we were doing it the hardest part was number four because we had to come up with 5 rules. The easiest part was trying to find a video about how to collaborate. I think this activity was good because it was teaching me how to collaborate .We also learned some new tricks so we can comment and change it. I hope I get to do more of this learning again.

Today we have been learning about making GIFs.We made them out of google slides. Here are some steps:

• first you press view
• then press master 
• then find an image and make it fit into the box
• after you have done that press the x at the top on the right hand side
• then you get some more images and put it on 
• after all of that you copy and paste your slide and keep doing it (also move your images that you got)

Here is a link to my gif click here. Also when you have done it you will see that somewhere there will be an equal sign and it will say 1000. That is there so you can change the speed, you can change it to any number you want but it has to be higher than 70 or it might freeze.

Our pest trackers

This week we have been making pest trackers, we wanted to make this so we could track pests.Also it was so we could see if we have pests in our school.To make this we had to use materials like

• milk bottles 
• peanut butter
• tin foil
• a sponge
• tape
• food colouring 
• scissors
• paper
• lid caps x2
• and a bag (black)

Pests are a big problem because they are killing our native birds.Because pests are killing our native birds those birds might be extinct.If our native birds were in our zoo for safe keeping than we will have to pay to see some birds!When you put the pest tracker down the point is to get lots of little foot prints so then you know if you have pests.I think I have tracked one down do you want to see!

You might be thinking how have I court one well if you look in the milk bottle.There is only one lid when there is meant to be two lids so I know that a pest has came in and taken one of my lids!If you see lots of ants then you should tie some string on to it and make it a bit higher so the ants can't reach.
